The British Library declares the Peters Worldmap to one of the 10 most important maps worldwide ever produced.

The Peters map shows each country in its real area size and on a directly comparable basis. Therefore the Peters world map is used by many aid agencies all over the world (e.g. Médecins Sans Frontières).
