About us
The Heinrich Böll Foundation is a German green political foundation and non-profit organization, affiliated with Alliance 90/The Greens. Its work focuses on promoting democracy, human rights, gender justice, and socio-ecological transformation, as well as strengthening civic participation and international dialogue.
In Central America, the Foundation works with civil society organizations, academia, and political actors on issues such as climate justice, ecofeminism, the protection of the commons, and the strengthening of inclusive democracies. Through publications, events, and spaces for dialogue, it fosters a critical public sphere and supports the development of alternatives to the region’s social and environmental challenges.
